CUSTOM MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT MOVES TO PONCA CITY      Custom Mechanical Equipment, (CME) makers of air conditioning units for schools, hospitals and business, has relocated its headquarters and manufacturing facility to America's Family Business Heartland, Ponca City, Oklahoma. CME's new home is in the Airport Industrial Park in a 30,000 square foot building constructed for them by the Ponca City Development Authority.      CME, previously based in East Troy, Wisconsin, said they selected Ponca City due to its strategic location which allows them to better and more affordably serve their customers. To underscore this point, CME's first shipments from the Ponca City plant went to Kansas, Colorado and Alaska.      The company will employ 25 people in the operation. Company officers include Pat Peitz, President, Bill Peitz, Vice President and General Manager, John McGinnis, Vice President of Finance, Eric Peitz, Project Manager, Cory Nickles, Director of Engineering and Paul Fusselman, Production Manager.      The Ponca City Development Authority constructed the building as part of its efforts to help businesses locate, expand and provide employment opportunities in North Central Oklahoma. CME and the PCDA developed an agreement allowing CME to lease the facility at an extremely favorable rate while building credit for the jobs they provide. This credit should ultimately allow CME to gain ownership of the land and building in the near future.      In addition to the local assistance provided, PCDA also worked with CME and the Oklahoma Department of Commerce to insure that the company received full benefits from the Oklahoma Quality Jobs Program for Small Businesses. This program, cited as one of the most aggressive economic tools in the nation, provides significant payroll and equipment incentives for new and existing companies.      In a recent reception for CME, State Representative Jim Newport and State Senator David Myers welcomed the company and encouraged CME to take full advantage of the numerous local and state resources that have made Ponca City and Oklahoma one of the best places in the nation in which to do business. Bill and Pat Peitz thanked the many people involved in assisting CME in their move and said they were looking forward to becoming a part of the dynamic community of Ponca City.      PCDA currently has another 50,000 square foot building under construction in the Airport Industrial Park.
